Richard Buch, M.D.
Conference Chairman
The DisasterPlasty Conference was developed in 2012 to help orthopedic surgeons diagnose and treat complex arthroplasties, revision arthroplasties, and their complications.
Many arthroplasty meetings present papers on surgeons’ good results with straightforward joint replacements - while never evaluating or discussing those 5% of complex and complicated cases.
DisasterPlasty founders realized that detailed, current knowledge on diagnosing and treating prosthetic infections, peri-prosthetic fractures, and all types of failed total joint arthroplasties was not readily available to practicing orthopedic surgeons.
We meet in a competitive, friendly, informative, fun way – sharing experiences through open discussions while encouraging participation by all. This approach is why you will enjoy this course, while at the same time learning invaluable diagnostic and treatment options for “disasterplasties”.
Our faculty are hands-on clinicians themselves diagnosing and treating these complex patients, not physicians just writing papers and giving lectures. DisasterPlasty speakers have been hand-picked because of their expertise and openness in helping others. You will have the opportunity to build lasting and valuable relationships while learning.
We look forward to your support in making the 2026 DisasterPlasty Conference a success!
